My Hope Is In God ~ Morning Manna

Yesterday Pastor Mike spoke about how God wants us to use His resources. I've been really thinking about #3 My Hope Is In God. The scripture he used yesterday was 1 Timothy 6:17

“Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.”

That scripture tells us that we have to put our hope in God, who richly provides us with everything.... I won't even finish this scripture. I'll just stop with "who richly provides us with everything." How many times do we get frustrated because we can't figure it out on our own? We figure that since God isn't moving fast enough we will pick it up and do it ourselves. And guess what? It still doesn't get done or it is not done in the manner of excellence in which our Father would have done it. It's at this point that we have to put our hope in God to provide us with the finances, with the employment opportunities, or with the answers to the questions that we so richly desire.

Hebrews 11:1 tells us
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

When we have faith we are placing our hope in God. Our faith can't waver and we have to be assured that God will meet us right where we are. Nothing surprises God. He knows what we have need of before we even ask. He awaits for us to seek Him first. You have to get to the point where you go back to your grandmother's red hymnal, "My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus's blood and righteousness. On Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand." Let's pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray that everyone on this call knows that our hope is You. That you provide, that you restore and that you will meet our sometimes desperate needs right when they need to be met. I pray on today that You unleash an activation of incredible faith among your people and I pray that faith spills over into our homes and our workplaces. God you are a provider of all things. You lift up our heads during the darkest seasons of our lives and all you simply ask is that we place our hope in you and to trust your provisions. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

I hope you have a Marvelous Monday. Be blessed in all things.
