30 Day Meditation Challenge With Faith Hunter

I read about Faith Hunter on one of Essence Magazine's social media sites. I immediately gravitated toward her and I fell in love with her website. I'm always in search of methods that aid in the concept of me being at peace.

On January 16 of this year I started The 30 Day Meditation Challenge. It was an amazing 30 days. I learned a lot about myself and what it means to go back to my breath. I would watch the videos prior to going to sleep because I wanted the most peaceful rest.

Next month I will complete the challenge again. I'm on the road to being spiritually fly. Namaste

100 Days

In the beginning of this year our pastor challenged us in several areas. One area was to read the Bible in a year via the Bible App.

This image means so much to me. Not only have I kept up with my Bible plan but I’ve not eaten pork or beef for, you guessed it, 100 days. Yes, I extended the First 48.

It hasn’t necessarily been hard but I’ll tell you this, reading Deuteronomy challenges my patience and my attention. lol

Though, I will say that I’m proud of me. I’m proud that when I can’t sleep, no matter the hour, when I awake up or at lunch I get my cute self situated and I read His word. Trust me I haven’t always been able to say that.

One hundred days though? I continue to press for the mark.

In His arms tonight
I’ll reflect that I owe Him
The sweetest of debts
There’s no way to pay
I love Him today
Even more after 100 Days

One Of Two Things

Dear God,

I'm simply amazed at how much You love me. How protective You are of me. That even when I mess up You're right there cleaning it up as You comfort me and prepare me for what's next. I liken it to when I was a little girl and I made a mess by spilling something on my clothes. My parents would do one of two things.

1) Clean my clothes and have me sit until my clothes were dry or 2) Make me take off my clothes and tell me to put on clean ones. There was no argument. I did as I was told because I knew that I would no longer walk around with stains on.

God, You either tell me to sit and wait or take off the soiled and put on something clean, something new. You take my stains away.

For that I'm thankful.

Lauren Relinquished_ Dope As Is

I met Lauren at church several years ago. It wasn't until a group of us had dinner at my home that I began to get to know her. Turned out we had several things in common and her awesome personality just invites you in.

It didn't take long for her to be a friend and a person I went to for input on my ideas and she photographed a couple of  my events too. She's so creative. She's so awesome. Several weeks ago I traveled to Atlanta to witness her nuptials and she was such a beautiful bride. She even put a touch on her wedding that I had never seen. I was in awe of the aisle that she walked down.

What I love about her is that she sees the good in everything and she ALWAYS has a listening ear and an encouraging word. Yeah, she's dope as is.

101 Things

I started reading Dream It. Pin It. Live It. in February. Ok. Ok. I read one chapter in February and I read chapters 2 and 3 over the past weekend. It's a really good book about methods to take prior to actually creating a vision board. I just want to share a little bit about Chapter 2's action step.

This step challenges you to make a list of 101 things you want to do. Yes, 101. I sat down Saturday evening and just began to write, to stretch my imagination and to just dream. When I completed the list I was mentally exhausted and quite amazed at the outcome. I challenged 3 of my friends to complete this action step also.

What about you? Are you up to the challenge to write out 101 things that you want to do? Let me know if you created your list.

Dream the impossible dream. Write the vision and make it plain.
