In Memorial of Anita Thorpe

Over the years I met so many people. It is very rare that you meet a person who you do nothing but laugh and have fun with. I met that person working on the Hospitality Committee at church. Her name is Anita Thorpe.

Each time we would have a function she would always make fun of my kitchen skills, or lack there of. ;) It was always in good humor and I knew as soon as she showed up on Sunday morning we would be laughing and joking.

Today two daughters buried their mother, they were so poised and so beautiful this morning. I was really proud of them and praying for them. Ms. Anita did a wonderful job raising them.

I have come back to work in the kitchen for several other events but today was different. Today I knew for sure that I would not have those jokes and that laughter anymore. I held it together until I heard "Safe in His Arms" being sung during the service. I walked around the kitchen area trying to find something to do to stop the tears until I finally just stood and cried.

Anita is safe in the Master's Arms. We praise God for that and for years of wonderful memories.

In His Will
