So Thankful

In June of this year I began to pray The Prayer of Jabez and The Serenity Prayer twice daily. I can't really explain how it all came about but I knew I wanted more. More peace, more serenity, more blessings and more territory. Just a few months prior I had attached a counter to my blog site. With the counter I can view the hits to the blog and I can also see where the hits are coming from.

I am in such awe when I see that my blog has been opened in not only in the U.S. but also in Italy, Chile, Japan, Spain, London, Brazil, China, Singapore, Germany, Egypt, and South Africa. It's overwhelming to see and to know that what I place on my site is of interest to other people around the world.

I receive many encouraging emails and comments from people who I know and don't know. What started out as a vehicle to promote Ghetto Chick, and my future writings, has turned into something so totally different. My blog has become a part of me that I share with the world. That I share with you.

Thank you so much for your visits, your comments, and your emails. It means so much to me. Special thanks to EDC Creations and Milani Cosmetics for sharing and for your support.

When I was in high school I always wanted to be a writer. I guess dreams really do come true.

The Prayer of Jabez

"Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, 'Oh that Thou would bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast [territory], and that Thine hand might be with me, and that Thou would keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me!' And God granted him that which he requested." 1 Chron 4:10

The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity

to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.
