Land In A Soft Spot

Recently I ran into a friend who had recently learned her teaching position had been eliminated. She is now interviewing and shared with me that she has one year until she retires and she wants to work in a similar environment that she is accustomed to.

We talked for several minutes and when she stated that she wanted to land in a "soft spot". She defined that as a place where she can use her skills that she has sharpened over the years.

My friend has invested 29 years in her career and is looking forward to retiring after next year. A soft spot! Hmm!!!! No worries, use your existing knowledge, impact lives, and prepare for your future. I think I want to land in a soft spot too.
