Thank You October!! πŸ‚

Thank you, October, for reminding me that a full life doesn’t always require a full calendar or a long list of accomplishments. This month, I didn’t write as much as I intended, and somewhere along the way, I became okay with that. Instead, I found myself simply enjoying moments.

I traveled to North Carolina to watch my son play basketball, at UNC. Honestly, it was the first time I’ve traveled on the road since 2022. I spent precious time with my mom and had incredible conversations with my close friends.

I finally finished reading The Gift of Rejection by Nona Jones, it was so good. How often do we think of rejection as a gift? Once you experience rejection you could be so focused on the pain that you don’t see that everything is working out for your good. πŸ™ŒπŸ½

I enjoyed quiet days at home, watched more than my share of HGTV, tried a few things in the kitchen, and made room to simply sit and reflect on the goodness of God.

Thank you, October, for teaching me that I don’t have to turn every experience into a blog post, every quiet moment into a project, or every day into an opportunity to check something off a list. ✅

Sometimes life is happening beautifully, even when there’s nothing to show for it on paper. As I prepare to welcome November, I’m grateful for the memories, the lessons, the laughter, the stillness, and the grace to let this month unfold without trying to control every part of it. I didn’t accomplish everything I thought I would, but I experienced more than I could have planned.

Thank you, October, for being exactly what I didn’t know I needed. πŸ‚
