All Things Work Together | 8.28.2024

Romans 8v28 is the scripture that I lean on, that I cry out to.

It took a long time to fully understand that all things work together for the good of them who love the Lord, who are called according to His purpose.

It took some disappointments, some rejection and some setbacks. But God!!

I can look back in recent years to somethings that didn’t work out for me. And guess what? God worked it out for my good.

In adversity, He’s provided. When rejected, God protected. When my foundation was shaken, He had pray warriors waiting for me to simply show up. 🙏🏾

I know what it feels like when things & people that you love go in different directions. It’s hard but know that God works all things together for your good. 🙌🏽 It may not feel good in that moment but watch God work!!

Things will turn out better, better, better.

August 28, 2002 | All Things Work

In the 90s I went to see Iyanla Vanzant at the Aronoff here in Cincinnati. That's when I first heard Angelo and Veronica. They starting singing a song and it stayed in my head for the rest of the night. The chorus repeated, "All things work together." I wanted to know what worked together.

I called my mom and told her about the song. I asked her where was this in the Bible. She simply told me to read Romans 8.  Since then Romans 8:28 has become my favorite scripture. I live by "even if it's not working out" "even if it don't feel good", it's working out for my good.
Today marks a new journey for my family and me. I'm honored that God would allow these things to occur on 8.28. The number 8 represents new beginnings. Good things are happening. It's all working together for good.
My prayer for you and myself today is to know that all things are working together for our good for His purpose.

August 28

My life forever changed several years ago when I went to hear @iyanlavanzant speak and I was introduced to the music of @angeloandveronica

They started singing a song that grabbed my attention. The phrase, “All Things Work.” was repeated several times. Now I wanted to know what worked together.

I went home and asked my mom about the phrase and she told me to read Romans Chapter 8. From that moment on Romans 8v28 became my favorite verse.

Even if it don’t work. It’s still working together for good. 🙌🏽 Daily I try to live a life of Romans 8:28.
