Are You Listening with Kirk Franklin + Friends Haiti Relief Song

I had heard the song for a while but tonight I watched the video! To hear the lyrics with the images is so powerful.

Writer's Block

During the month of March my writing has been few and far between. I've had so much going on and on my mind that I've not been able to get it all out.

Trying to juggle the ending of basketball season, working in ministry, home, the children, teaching and self....well to say the least, it has worn on me. I could have written about so many things but it was simply too many things. I think I'll start using my MP3 player to record my thoughts and go from there.

This year has so many exciting events yet to come to pass. My son's last season of playing AAU, the results of me eliminating bread and sugar from my diet, my childhood friends upcoming wedding, our church's ministry expanding, and the beginning of my son's senior year of high school. ******I will need a lot of tissue to get through the year*****Sniff Sniff

Believe me when I say I have a lot to write about....just here lately I couldn't get it all out. Slowing the block is being removed....Soon I will flow freely....My mic sounds nice check 1....My mic sounds nice check 2

'Intimate Conversation with Nanette M. Buchanan'

Description by Kenneth Carter

Unique, I'm cut from a different cloth
Saved, I illuminate as I walk
Goal, pursuit of spiritual progression
Trials, I sin so open confession
Visible, yet only God can judge me
Divisible, by one that completes me
Anointed, predetermined before I knew me
Ring, for the one that God shows me
Check mate, capture a Queen, King me!

Untitled by Kenneth Carter

Baby come here, I want to whisper in your ear
I love you yesterday, today, odd and even years
Your scent and touch give pulse to my heart
We are equally yoked, right from start
I vow to always respect, till death do us apart.

Could by Kenneth Carter

I could say something sexy, but right now, I don't
I could do something sneaky, but right now, I won't
I could be someone fake, but right now, I'm real
I could push you away, but right now, I feel
I could say I like her, but right now, untrue
I could say I don't care, but right now, I love you!

How Much by Kenneth Carter

Kiss me when you're sick, so I can be sick too, that's how much I love you

Call me when you feeling down, I'll fly into town, that's how much I love you

Give you my last breath, if we're about to drown, that's how much I love you

Asking you to be my Wife, you deserve the best in life, that's how much I love you!

Milani Cosmetics

I consider myself a MAC girl. I love MAC's cosmetics, can't do without my chestnut lip pencil or my Fetish and Icon lipstick. To be truthful I have loved makeup since I was in junior high school. I remember my first fav lipstick was Artmatic 069 or 960 depending on how you held the container. For some reason I have a thing for color, so I have dabbled with teals, blues and pinks.

Sometimes when I go to CVS or Walgreen's I just like to walk down the cosmetics aisle. One day about a year or two ago I came across the Milani Cosmetic stand. I could not move I just looked and thought, "What is a girl to do?" I initially purchased Glimmer Stripes in Terra Glimmer and most recently I purchased Runway Eyes in Designer Brown. With the Runway Eyes I wear the eyeshadow wet or dry and I love it!!!! Then there is the Glitzy Glamour Gloss in Charmer that I of course line with the MAC Chestnut pencil...hey, what can I say? lol

Now and Then

You know sometimes you have to sit and reflect. Reflect on your past and your future. Reflect on your accomplishments and your failures. During that time you can see value in relationships that were successful and those that were lost.
I believe I have learned the most from those relationships that were lost. Or shall I say they lost. The bigger picture for me shows me that I haven't always made the best choices for myself. I chose with my flesh and not with God's plan for my life. Now that I know better, I have to do better. We perish for lack of knowledge.
I love sitting and talking with my niece about love and life. I want to pour into her good knowledge, so that she can make healthier and wiser choices. As much as I love being a mommy I realize that our family could be a lot more stable had I done things decently and in order. I get that now. It's one thing to know scripture, it's another thing to be obedient to what it tells us to do.
Personally, I don't mind sharing my story because it could be a blessing to another person. Wait for sex! Let your husband find you! Stay true to His word!
It took a long time and many experiences for me to get to this point in my life. God has kept us covered and He provides for us daily. How can I not share what He has done so that others know that all things are possible?
Every now and then as I reflect, I realize that I am living Romans 8:28...all things do work together. I know He has a purpose for my life and my children's lives. He's called me to do amazing things in through adversity. But through that adversity He is showing me how it is working together for my good and the good of others.

All Things Work Together | 8.28.2024

Romans 8v28 is the scripture that I lean on, that I cry out to.  It took a long time to fully understand that all things work together for...
