If A Child Can Ask In Faith

I have a toddler who loves Monster Trucks. I mean truly loves Monster Trucks. At three he could name his favorite trucks, Grave Digger, Blue Thunder, Maxium Destruction. I even know that Dennis Anderson drives Grave Digger. It was crazy because I had no clue what a Monster Truck was. My father was flipping through the channels one day and on the Speed Channel was a Monster Truck Show. Well needless to say at Grandpa's House that is what my son watches.

When I would go to Walmart I would pick him up two and thought I was doing good. At $3.97 a piece I could handle a couple of trucks every now and then. Recently I sat down with Ty and asked him what he wanted for Christmas. His response was simply more Monster Trucks. He named the ones he wanted most, Taz and El Toro Loco. So in my mind I was set. If I bought him his favorite 10 Ty would be good for Christmas, of course along with my favorite pajamas from Target.

My co-workers and I are pretty close. We talk about our children and of course we discussed Christmas and what are children were expecting. One day I heard God speak to me before entering my school building. He said, "Arlinda don't take anything in the building with you. There is something you need to bring out today." I listened and I kept my things in the car.

As I sat at my desk, that morning, my co-worker enters my classroom with a box and a bag. He set them down and says, "This is for Ty." When I looked in the bag I immediately knew that I would not be purchasing any Monster Trucks for Ty. Not only were there over 40 trucks, but there were also books, videos and Hot Wheel Race Cars sets. And yes, Taz and El Toro Loco were in the bag. Ty nows has a collection of various sizes of Monster Trucks. They are in the parking garage in front of my fire place. lol

One of my favorite prayers is the Prayer of Jabez...Oh! That You bless me indeed....Ty knew to ask in faith and expect it. He didn't get the ten mommy was going to give he received way more. If a child can ask in faith and expect it shouldn't we be able to do the same?

I am asking in faith and expecting to be blessed indeed and for my territory to be enlarged. How about you? I am taking my faith to that next level of expectancy.

Book Review for Nookie
by Anieshea Dansby

Nookie by Anieshea Dansby is an account of a misunderstood teenager, who is looking for love in all the wrong places. Living through abandonment, abuse and devastation; what is a girl to do to turn her life around?

Joy has a picture to those on the outside looking in, but in reality, this is far from the truth. Joy's father is never home and her mother is a functioning nut case. While trying to put on a brave face and finish high school, the family moves and she loses the little comfort and security she had.

Making new friends and relocating is hard on everyone, but Joy feels the pain more when her high school sweetheart moves on with someone else. Heartbroken and alone, Joy is trying to pick up the pieces of her life when she meets Kevin.

Kevin is an older guy who owns his own photography store and befriends Joy, but when she puts Kevin in a bad situation all hell breaks loose as he tries to defend himself. With no where to go, Joy is left to roam the streets, hungry and homeless. She calls her friend, Tanya in hopes of finding somewhere to live for the time being.

Tanya is running with the wrong crowd, and gladly invit es her friend to stay with her and her drug dealer boyfriend, Shawn. Could Joy's life get any worst? With endless nights of drinking and smoking, Joy has lost all focus on finishing school and getting a job.

This book is filled with drama, graphic descriptions and young girls who make you want to grab them and shake some sense into them. I recommend this book to all the young teens out here who feel that their parents are too strict, cause believe it, it could happen to you. Stay tuned for part II; I cannot wait for the sequel. --- Reviewed by: Cheryl H, APOOO BookClub

Something About Jesus by Kenneth Carter

Something about Jesus that is calming in crisis

In past, yesterday and today people aren't the nicest

Something about Jesus is more than wonderful

In times of financial stress His grace is plentiful

Something about Jesus death, and rise that is unmatched

In times where feelings fade and marriages collapse

Something about Jesus words that gives us hope

In times when people feel they just can't cope

Something about Jesus forgiving will love and save a heathen

Levels

Today the cable man had to come to my home. For some reason we were not getting the one channel we needed, Nick Jr. aka Noggin. The screen was simply black, no words, graphics or anything. When the cable man arrived he started pulling out cords and after a while he paused. He asked me how many t.v.'s did I have and where was my internet connection. I was confused by his questions. Then he informed me that on his way to my home he checked my levels and they were low. Wow. That's technology for you.

He worked so hard and still no Nick Jr. Finally, he asked to see the other connections in my home. We went to my son's room and all was good. We went to where my computer was and all was good. Then he turned around and saw a connection that was not being used. He asked me, "Are you going to use this connection? If not then I am going to disconnect it because I think it is draining your signal to your computer and other televsions."

Hmmm! Because I was not using something it was draining other things.

Well needless to say he was right. When it was all said and done the cable worked completely. I even think it's brighter and the internet is faster. Thinking on it I don't use a t.v. at that outlet, therefore there was not a need for it. I guess getting rid of what I don't need or didn't use made all of the other connections work better that I use daily. That could be a life lesson. Get rid of what you don't need or you aren't using. Those things could be hindering you from reaching new levels.

Tyler's smile lit up the room when he saw Nick Jr. was working. The cable man had made his day. As for me, my levels are looking real good!

1st Anniversary of LindarInsights

Wow!!!!!!!!

Exactly one year ago today I created LindarInsights. Since then I have so many amazing events occur. Ghetto Chick is published and I actually sold several copies...lol. Not bad! For those who have purchased Ghetto Chick I have received many good reviews from them. I am working on finishing Sumthing Special the story of the writings in Ghetto Chick.

Lindar has a Facebook page and on Facebook I have met so many amazing writers and supporters of writers. Under the guidance of Ella Curry I have networked and assisted with getting the word out about upcoming and established writers. I also had the opportunity to speak online with Ella about my book and my blogsite.

I am in a very different place than I was last year. I am single and cool with my status. My sons are growing by leaps and bounds and we continue to see them do awesome things. One of our biggest successes has been getting the toddler potty trained. What a task! lol

Below is the link to my very first blog and I hope that you read it and enjoy. God has an amazing plan for my life. I am learning to walk in that plan. Are you walking in yours?

Thanks for your continued love, support, and feedback. This path began last year. There is so much more to come......

Here is an interview with Ella Curry of EDC Creations

Ella: Greetings Mr. Bell, tell us about your passion for writing. What impact do you want your book to make on the readers?

JB: Interestingly enough, I started out wanting to write screenplays and I actually finished my first one, which was Christian based. However, I wasn't satisfied and I felt like there was something else that needed to be done. Then God made me uncomfortable when I would see folks in church caught up in a practiced mode. I was watching saints become conditioned to religious dogma: carrying out components of service on queue rather than by the Spirit.

JB: I remember telling my wife how God wanted to share so much more with us... that we were missing Him because we were becoming good at religion and missing the relationship that He desires. I remember sitting at the computer trying to write a second screenplay, when I said to her, "Somebody should write a book to help those who are trying so hard and missing it." My wife walked over to me, kissed my forehead and whispered, "Did you ever think that since God placed it in your heart, that maybe you're the one to write the book?" Then she quietly left me to deal with what I had been debating in my spirit and trying to get around all this time. I then began to write and share the fact that God wants us to have a relationship of intimacy with Him.

Ella: Introduce us to your book, "What Happens After the Hoop?".

JB: So many wonderful saints are reaching out to God with all their hearts while still locked into lifestyles that are torn and broken. Many are holding on because they think this is what's supposed to happen - so they continue to struggle but they are suffering. God has a plan of abundance for us and this book explains what that plan looks like and more importantly how to walk in it.

Ella: Why was this book so important to create?

JB: The importance here is about life and how to live it. There are a number of issues (which are detailed in the book) that keep the saints in the dark when it comes to what God desires. God loves us and wants us to grow in that love.

Ella: How will "What Happens After the Hoop" impact community relationships?JB: It is my prayer that those who get this message will be able to come up and out of their struggles, and walk in the joy that God has ordained for them.

Ella: What is the most surprising thing you have learned from the christian community?

JB: With all the preaching and teaching out there, many are still missing the best part of God, the intimacy that He so freely offers.

Ella: What would you say has been your most significant achievement with this book?

JB: So far, it would be that many of the folks who have read it, have said that it has added joy and knowledge to their lives.

Ella: How has writing "What Happens After the Hoop" changed or shaped your life?

JB: As I was writing, the Holy Spirit revealed some things to me, so the book also speaks to me. What I thought I was going to write and what the Holy Spirit moved me to write were two very different things. Because of this process, I am yet closer to Christ and am seeing the Word of God through fresh eyes.

Ella: What can we expect from you in the future?

JB: I am currently writing my next book entitled "Take Your Seat", which will address walking in our authority, because many of us are seated in the wrong place in the Kingdom.
